GN SLUDGE DEWATERING CENTRIFUGE USED IN FOREIGN MEAT PROCESSING PLANTS

This week, GN completed the factory test and delivery of one set decanter centrifuge GNLW364ET-VFD, which will be used for sewage treatment in a foreign meat processing plant.

Decanter centrifuge is commonly used solid-liquid two-phase separation equipment. In the production process of many food plants and meat products plants, some sludge is often generated. This kind sludge cannot be directly discharged into the municipal sludge drainage pipeline. Dewatering treatment is required in advance to separate as much solid substance as possible to obtain relatively dry sludge, which is convenient for subsequent transportation and further drying treatment.

GN Sludge Dewatering Centrifuge is driven by dual motors, and the dual motors use the DC common bus operation principle, which can save energy consumption during equipment operation. The rotating assembly of the decanter is composed of a rotary bowl and an internal screw propeller. Slag is discharged through the speed difference between the bowl and the propeller. The bowl speed and differential speed can be set on the touch screen of the variable VFD control panel equipped as standard by GN according to different material conditions and treatment effects. The frequency converter of main and auxiliary motors is equipped in the VFD control cabinet to start smoothly and protect the motor. According to the customer’s requirements, the frequency converter of the slurry pump can also be equipped to control the feeding speed.

In terms of structural design, GN sludge dewatering centrifuge places two motors at one end of the equipment, and the other end is arranged with feeding tube. This structure is easy to install and maintain, and can also provide operators with equipment operation space.

There are many organic substances in the sludge generated during the processing of meat products plant, which has strong water absorption and is difficult to separate. If you want to achieve better separation effect and clarified liquid, you need to use high-performance flocculants to flocculate the sludge in advance. Then, in the process of separation, it is necessary to select an appropriate differential speed to discharge the solid phase from the bowl. SLUDGE SCREW PRESS USED IN SOUTHEAST ASIA TEXTILE PLANT FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT

Recently, GN sent a screw press to customer from Southeast Asia for wastewater treatment in textile plant. This equipment in this order is used as a trial unit to verify the applicability of the equipment. Therefore, the customer has chosen the smallest model in the GN product series. If the site operation is successful, the customer will order large model to meet industrial production.

The screw press is a compact sludge dewatering equipment, which is favored by many users because of its high degree of automation, low noise and low energy consumption. Generally, the screw press is structurally composed of two parts, the sludge flocculation bin and the dewatering assembly. The flocculation conditioning bin is used to receive the sludge to be treated and the chemical solution coming from polymer dosing unit. The sludge after flocculation naturally overflows to the dewatering assembly. After thickening and dewatering in the chamber composed of discs and screw, a relatively dry sludge cake is finally formed and discharged from the slag discharge port.

GN screw press machine uses SS304 as the shell of the equipment, the floating ring and the static ring, and the agitator in the flocculation bin. According to different properties of sludge to be treated, GN can also provide SS316 and duplex SS2205 with better corrosion resistance. In the control cabinet of GN screw press, the motor of the dewatering screw is equipped with a frequency converter, which can adjust the speed of the dewatering screw. If there is material blockage inside the screw, the screw can also be reversed to eliminate the material blockage.

Compared with the dewatering decanter centrifuge, the screw press has lower energy consumption and noise, and has better environmental friendliness in actual work; and compared with the filter press, the screw press has higher automatic working performance and operation convenience.

1000HP Drilling Rig Solids Control System for Middle East

GN Solids Control just finished manufacturing and testing of one set 1000HP drilling rig solids control system for one Middle Eastern company who will use it in New Zealand next month.
With the rich experience on oil and gas drilling mud solids control and drilling waste management, GN Solids Control is proud to have another successful 1000 HP drilling rig solids control system for a happy customer. So below are the treating equipment in this mud solids control system:

1.GN Shaker Tank
Shaker tank is divided into shaker compartment, desander compartment, and desilter compartment. Two parallel shale shakers connected by a pipe line type mud distribution box to convey the drilling mud on to shaker screens evenly, so the big particles can be removed before feeding into cyclones.
For convenient control, manual butterfly valves are fixed on the main ports so they can be turned on or off to change the mud flow. And a mud cleaner fixed with desander cyclones and destiler cylones can be also used to run accross the cyclones and play as a 3rd unit shaker in case the suddenly mud flow rate increase.
Two centrifugal pumps fixed on the side of the shaker tank to feed into desander and desilter separately.

2.GN Mud Storage Tank
Two storage tanks are laying parallel to the shaker tank from where the after treated clean mud are moved. Every mud storage tank is fixed with 3 units mud agitators to keep the mud from settling.
A customized big jet mud mixer is used to add new drilling chemicals or additives from the mud hopper where standing platform is used to carry big bags. And two parallel centrifugal pumps are connected with the venturi hopper, either pump can be used as the feeding pump.
Besides the above mentioned main module, GN Solids Control also provides some auxiliary parts like mud gun, light etc. More importantly, all the explosion proof standard control boxes are also provided by GN Solids Control.

Oil Contaminated Soil Washing and Separation Equipment for Middle East Customer

Oil contaminated soils is one of the most difficult materials in order to reuse the soil and oil, as a leading Solids and Liquid Separation Equipment manufacturer, GN Solids Control is especially good at providing oil contaminated soil washing and separation equipment.
Last month, GN Solids Control finished all the testing of one Oil Contaminated soil washing and separation equipment for one Middle East customer before leave factory. This turnkey solution is mainly composed by the following product:

1.Soil Washing Modular
Soil was feed into a GN catch hopper unit, which is fixed with large openings bars to keep the big particles from the shaker. One big coarse shaker is underneath GN catch hopper to remove solids larger then 10mm by using PU screens.
GN screw conveyor is used to move the soil either to a Crusher or to cuttings box. The Crusher is able to feed materials with max. 120 mm and discharge to 15mm. To protect the damage made by fine metal cuttings, one ditch magnet is fixed on the screw conveyor inlet or outlet.

2.Vacuum Pump Transfer Unit
GN Vaccum Pump together with one AC is able to move all the soils or aggregates from the oil contaminated soil. Pipe lines are connected with feeding hopper or pre-heating modular can be changed by turn on or off the valves.

3.Pre-heating & Mixing Modular
To help improve the separation efficiency, it is necessary to use a pre-heating and mixing modular. Here it is composed by 2 mixing tanks with steam hot pipe lines along with the tank, which also fixed with mud agitator to keep agitating the soil.
4.Shaker Separation Unit
One double deck shaker fixed with API 20 or API 40 screens help to remove most of those fine particles after heating.
5.Decanter Centrifuge Separation Modular
In order to remove those finest solids above 2~5 microns, GN Solids Control use 22 inch bowl decanter centrifuge GNLW553-VFD and one 3 phase disc-separator to further separate the oil, water and solids.

6.Chemical Dosing Unit
One automatic chemical dosing unit is provided to add chemicals into the pre-mixing tank and decanter centrifuge.
