Drilling Mud Solids Control Centrifuge for African client

Just last week, GN Solids Control delivered some drilling mud solids control centrifuges to a African drilling rig contractor.

Centrifuge is the key treating equipment in the drilling mud solids control, usually drilling mud from the drilling rig is send to the shale shakers which distributed by feeding box after removed harmful air by poor boy degasser, and then drilling mud further remove the fine particles by de-sander or de-stiler before finally send to decanter centrifuge.
GN Solids Control decanter centrifuge is able to remove solids larger than 2-5 microns, the rotating bowl and screw propeller run at different speed to achieve drilling mud solids control no matter it is light gravity drilling mud or heavy gravity one. GN decanter centrifuge can also run at low speed to recover barite from drilling mud.

If classified by the rotating bowl size, GN Solids Control decanter centrifuge has nine inch, 14 inch, 18 inch, 22 inch and 30 inch models for different options. All decanter centrifuges’ rotating bowl are made by centrifugal casting, and solids discharge port protected by tungsten inserts and the screw propeller protected by tungsten carbide tiles.
As for this batch of drilling mud decanter centrifuge, GN Solids Control provides 6 sets of 14 inch bowl decanter centrifuges, all controlled by GN VFD box fixed with HMI touch screen where running parameters like the rotating speed, differential speed etc can be changed conveniently. Centrifuges are fixed with temperature sensors and vibration sensors to monitor the two main bearing running in good condition without over heat and also protect the whole rotating assembly without abnormal vibration.

1.GN Sludge Vacuum Pump 

GN sludge vacuum pump is especially made to move high solids content slurry, in fact as long as the material is flowable, it can be transferred by GN vacuum pump.

1.Containerized Cuttings Dryer

After treated by GN cuttings dryer, oil on the discharged cuttings can be cut from 15% to less than 5%. To keep the screen basket from blocking, GN engineers apply air knife system, flushing nozzles, and basket scrapers inside the shell.

When use in extremely hot or cold environment, GN Solids Control put the cuttings dryer inside a decorated container fixed with air conditioner to provide the equipment with an suitable working condition and more importantly bring a comfortable working space for the operators. 

2.Decanter Centrifuge

1.Shale Shaker GNZS594

2.GN Vacuum Screen Unit
GN Solids Control builds ViST, which can recover more than 20~30% drilling fluids from the driling mud. GN ViST is a negative working unit connected with 1 to 3 catch trays, which will be mounted underneath the last screen panel. An air compressor should be used to connect with the ViST. 
Due to different shakers have different structures, GN Solids Control now only provides Vaccum Screen Unit to equip with GN made shale shakers. While somether brands may be used if replace with a customized tray. 
3.GN Solids Transfer Vacuum Pump
GN Solids Transfer Vacuum Pump is a wide usage pump, basecially any solids that is flowable can be moved by GN vacuum pump. 
The effective working range is within 8 m from the pump suction port to the material. However, there is no horizontal limiations on suction and discharge. 
GN Solids Control provides wheel type vacuum pump, model 10B and 20B. The biggest model is GNSP-40B, which can move 40 m3/h dry materilas effectively even it has a large density or viscosity.
